What a weekend!!

2 things happened over the weekend, making my weekend an extremely packed 1.

1. Corporate Dragon Boat Relay: Show of Faith (23 Feb 08, morning)
2. OCBC Recreation Club offsite - Bintan (23 Feb 08 afternoon to 24 Feb 08)

Corporate Dragon Boat Relay: Show of Faith (23 Feb 08, morning)

I have been working on this event with a whole bunch of other corporate dragon boaters from HSBC, StandChart, MediaCorp, etc... since Nov last year. It's a fund raising cum safety awareness event that was triggered by the leaving of 5 of Singapore's finest. 5 guys from Team Singapore Dragon Boat team left us after a freak accident during a race in Cambodia last Nov.

Anyway, 3 months of hard work resulted in a fun relay marathon by corporate teams! I totally forgot to keep track of the distance clocked, but we all had fun! Hahahaha... Funds will go into raising the safety standard at Kallang Water Sport Centre where all dragon boat trainings take place. Hope it's all worthwhile. Need to bug Lim Wee Kok to make sure he put this money to good use!

OCBC Recreation Club offsite - Bintan (23 Feb 08 afternoon to 24 Feb 08)

This is the 1st time in OCBC Rec Club history that we actually have an offsite! Jinny was the organiser. The actual offsite is supposed to start on 22 Feb night, but I have to miss 1 day of fun coz of the relay. Reached Bintan only 23 Feb evening, in time for dinner.

Dinner was super duper shiiioook! It was seafood galore. Prawns, crabs, BEER!! We stuffed ourselves so much that food was coming out of our nose man!

Dinner did not mark the end of the day. We spent the whole night playing silly drinking games, drank ourselves silly and had soooooo much fun. Thomas is the party king man! He knows all the stupidest games! Annie is crap at the games and she kept drinking... Shane sucked at the games too. But since he can't take alcohol due to his medical conditions, he gotta drink water everytime he lose. But if you think drinking water is too easy, try not going toilet despite the tons of water you drink! And the little birdie chirping outside our window wasn't helping.

The next day was great! Jinny, knowing that I have missed the teambuilding fun on day 1, was kind enough to arrange a lot of exciting stuff. 1st it was PAINTBALL!

I have never played paintball and did not know what to expect. But the moment the 1st bullet hit me... OUCH!! I know exactly what I was in for. Oh man... It was blardy fun, really, despite the pain... The guns are so damn powerful! Can shoot ddaaaaammmnn far I tell you! Left the paintball place with 1 "orh cheng" on my shoulder (that's my 1st hit) and 1 on my BICEP (which I only noticed when I got back my room later that afternoon).

The next was the ATV and quad ride. Basically, you get to drive either a dune buggy or a quad through sandy, bumpy terrains. As we had odd no. of people, 1 of us have to go solo in a quad and the rest goes in pairs in dune buggies. Guess who got to go SOLO?! *MEGA WATT GRIN*

I got to drive right in front to lead the pack, coz I was going solo. YEAH! All the dune buggies had to follow behind me and breathe in all the dust trial I created! Hahaha... Too bad...

The ride was quite dramatic for Thomas and Khamisah. Dunno what they did, but they managed to drive till their wheel dropped!! How is that ever possible? Hahaha...

This offsite was indeed a great 1... Thanks to JINNY! 3 cheers for Jinny!!
